Sorry for the Delay

Sorry that I have been so lame about posting lately. Luckily I haven't been lame about exercising. I didn't make any headway because I also sampled all of the holiday treats. At least I didn't gain weight either-well maybe a pound. One of the things that has helped me keep up the running even in the frigid temperatures is my awesome new birthday/Christmas present of a double jogging stroller. It is fantastic! The one I got is a great one too if anyone is in the market. The only thing I wish it had was a hand brake, but since most of my neighborhood is flat it works out.
I want to share such an inspirational story with you. Emily is a friend of mine. We taught 1st grade together for a few years. She still teaches and has also lost over 100 pounds. Anyone losing that much is pretty awesome, but it's especially challenging for her because, you see, my friend Emily is in a wheelchair. (If you read this in Google Reader you'll have to go to my site to watch it.)

Emily did that without diet pills, surgery or other fad things. She just ate right and exercised. Next time you don't feel like exercising, remember that your body works and be grateful that you can exercise. Get moving and do what you can. Every little bit helps! Here are some great exercise tips and some ideas on how to add more physical activity into your daily life. Here's another on how to keep yourself motivated to keep losing or keep the weight off.

  1. Hey Jen--you look really good! One thing I wish they would have said in the news piece is that I did it with out pills or surgery just exercise and regular veggies :) it's the only way for it to really stick and not gain it all back. BUT it takes 6 years--I still can't beleive it though. take care EMILY
